OPEN SOURCE

WHY OPEN SOURCE?

Currently robotic manufacturing gravitates toward two poles: high-cost, complex specialized systems; or low-cost, low-performance systems. Haddington Dynamics was created to empower a growing user/community base with robotic solutions that simultaneously break cost and performance barriers. The company accelerates adoption and collaboration by open-sourcing its core technology.

We have very advanced technology and we are neck deep in “the Innovators Dilemma”.  We need a friction free adoption mechanism to create a network effect to get the means of production into the maximum number of hands as fast as possible.  Open Source is the foundation that brings the concept of the sharing economy to technology development.

We believe this advancement of merging super-computing and robotics is a fundamental enabler of a new economy and should belong to all people.  High performance, high precision and HAPTIC at low cost is just the beginning.  By equipping people with this new tool-set we hope to create a community that enthusiastically embraces participating in this new economy.

We look forward to collaborating with you.
